This class is offered to a limited number of students at North Elementary.

Class Dates: Once per week every Tuesday, September 11 – October 30, 2012

Class Times: 4:00-5:30pm (directly after school)

Students will design and build their own wind turbine to generate electricity and create their own device for measuring and recording voltage. This program consists of the following areas of learning:

Wind Energy

  • Components of wind turbines
  • Design controlled experiments
  • Atmospheric climate
  • Basic electric laws and principles

Technology

  • Electronic controller applications
  • Simple electronic interfacing
  • Introduction to electronic controller programming
